2026/2027 Programs
Ethos Lab offers a range of programs for youth in grades 5–12 that support its mission to empower young people to transform their communities and reshape the culture of innovation through unique equity-grounded STEAM learning. Delivered through our Studio and Camp formats, we invite participants to dive deep into creative and curious learning. It’s a fun, engaging way for youth to explore real-world topics and build future-ready skills in a supportive community.

Fall 2026
Gaming Club
September 25 – December 4, 2026
Grades 5 – 7 | $200 or $25/drop in
Fridays 5:00PM – 6:30PM
The Ethos Lab Gaming Club is where members explore video games and analog games to build connection, creativity, and critical thinking. Open to all experience levels, the club fosters a community through teamwork and respectful play. Youth engage in weekly game sessions, co-op challenges, guest talks, and leadership opportunities. Members gain confidence, technical skills, and a sense of belonging while co-creating a space rooted in fun.
Dice & Design Club
September 26- December 5, 2026
Grades 5 – 7 | $275 or $30/drop-in

Does your child love making things, playing games, and telling stories? If so, you’ve found the right program!
Atlanthos: Dice & Design is a story driven and gamified program where participants will spend half their time using technology to design and build products, and the second half using those products as part of an immersive tabletop role-playing game (similar to Dungeons and Dragons). Youth will create their own characters in Atlanthos—Ethos Lab’s fictional world and cultural anchor—and will be presented with narrative scenarios that they will be able to navigate through with the products they build, their characters’ abilities, and their own creativity, curiosity, and cleverness. Join us for a program full of making, collaboration, storytelling, belonging, problem solving, and a lot of fun.
Youth will be provided with their own dice set, character duotang, as well as all materials needed to craft their products. The technology used will include: Procreate, Cricut, 3D Printing, and a CnC Machine.
Dice & Design Club (Grades 8-12)
September 22 – December 8, 2026
Grades 8 – 12 | $325 or $30/drop-in
Tuesdays, 6:30PM – 8:30PM
In this program teens get to diver into their passions of storytelling, art and games. In this story-driven and gamified program, youth will use Procreate, Cricut, 3D Printing, and a CnC Machine to design and model fantasy characters, and the second half using those characters as part of an immersive tabletop role-playing game. Youth will be provided with their own dice set, character folder, as well as all materials needed to craft their camp adventure.
Future Producers: Beat Making Club
September 25 – December 4, 2026
Grades 10 – 12 | $250 term or $30.00/drop-in
Fridays, 6:30PM – 8:30PM
Youth will explore the fundamentals of digital music production, beat making, audio recording, and podcast creation through a hands-on creative process. Participants will learn to use industry-standard digital audio workstations (DAWs), MIDI controllers, microphones, and audio editing software to compose original beats, record spoken-word content, and develop engaging podcast concepts. Throughout the creative process, youth will apply human-centred design principles by ideating, producing, testing, and refining their work while building communication, collaboration, creativity, and digital storytelling skills.
“I don’t like Math” Math Club
September 22- December 8, 2026
Grades 7 – 9 | $325 Term or $30.00/drop-in
Tuesdays, 5:00PM – 6:30PM
Have you ever said “I’m not a Math person”?
This is not your regular math program. Discover a new way to experience math through hands-on projects, interactive technology, movement, and creative challenges designed especially for students who may feel unsure about math. Build, experiment, collaborate, and see geometric ideas come to life in ways that finally make sense.
FAQs
What experience level is needed for my youth to register them?
Ethos Lab provides foundational knowledge and experiences in STEAM. So everyone at all levels is welcome! Our faculty is trained to meet them where they are and support them along the way.
My youth is not Black. Can I still register them?
YES! Ethos Lab for everyone, by us – meaning we are Black led organization but we are open to all youth. We intentionally fuse Black culture into science, technology, engineering, applied arts, and math (S.T.E.A.M) programming to encourage inclusion, acceptance, and representation.
Are there any options for student scholarships?
YES! We have a lot of scholarships available for youth who want to attend our programs and camps. Please email us at community@ethoslab.ca with which camp you are interested in registering your youth for and we will get back to you.
My youth is going into Grade 8 in the next school year, should I put them into 5-7 offers or 8- 12 offers?
In the Summer, the way we structure our camps is based on the grade they just finished. So if they just completed grade 7 they would still fall within the grade 5-7 category. If you were really hoping to register them for one of the grade 8 – 12 camps please email us at community@ethoslab.ca.
